Farm Transparency Project – Dominion Outreach Melbourne

July 26 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Join Dominion Outreach Melbourne
FoodPro edition

FoodPro is Australia’s leading event for the food processing and manufacturing industry, held every three years. This year’s event runs for four days, starting Sunday July 26.

Inside the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, several industry bodies and companies that exploit animals for profit will be exhibiting—including Marel (the world’s leading manufacturer and supplier of CO2 gas chambers). These chambers are used to stun millions of pigs every year before their throats are cut.

Marel claims their gas chambers are humane. However, undercover investigation footage from Australia, Germany, and the UK shows pigs frantically fighting to escape the chambers, gasping for air, and screaming in agony.
Marel won’t show you what actually happens to pigs inside their gas chambers… but we will.

Join us on Sunday for an outreach event, and help us show the public what REALLY happens to pigs inside Marel’s gas chambers.

We will have a petition for pedestrians to sign, asking FoodPro to drop Marel as an exhibitor.

We’ll also have a table full of delicious vegan treats to show the public how simple and tasty eating cruelty-free can be.

Please bring food if you can:

-All food must be vegan.
-Food can be homemade or store-bought, sweet or savoury.
-Preferably finger food so that pedestrians can easily take individual portions.
