Animal Justice Party NSW – Say No to Blacktown Rodeo!

Join members of the Animal Justice Party, North West and Western Sydney Regional Groups for a peaceful protest in response to the Sydney Rodeo.
Rodeos subject animals to fear, stress and physical harm for “entertainment”. Through this protest, we’ll be speaking with the community about the reality of rodeos and inviting people to support a ban in NSW.
Rodeos are also often marketed as “family fun,” but the reality is built on the fear, stress, and physical harm of vulnerable animals. We believe children should be taught empathy and respect, not that it’s acceptable to terrorise animals for entertainment.
Location:
Civic Plaza, outside Max Webber Library
Flushcombe Road, Blacktown
Date:
Saturday 18 April 2026
Time:
Any time between 9:30am – 12:30pm
(Feel free to join us for as long or as little as you can.)
What you will be doing:
– Holding posters to raise awareness about the harms caused by rodeos
– Speaking with members of the public about why rodeos should be banned
– Inviting people to sign the Animal Justice Party petition calling for a ban on rodeos in NSW
This will be a peaceful community protest. No outreach experience needed. If you care about animals and want to help educate the public, we’d love to have you there.
