Edgar’s Mission is a not-for-profit sanctuary for rescued farmed animals with a vision for a humane and just world for all. Through education, outreach, advocacy, community enrichment and tours, we encourage people to expand their circle of compassion to include all animals.
Mission
Edgar's Mission provides shelter and direct care for homeless, abused, injured or abandoned animals and helps to find permanent homes for mistreated and abandoned animals. We promote compassion, understanding and respect for all animals and promote responsible and humane treatment towards animals in our community through the provision of advice, education and information. As custodians of this planet, humans have designated some animals ‘friends’ and some animals ‘food’. Yet all animals share a need and desire to experience a life with joy, meaning and purpose. They also share a similar capacity to suffer.
Volunteers: opportunities for regular volunteering and for 'helping hands days' more casually.
Tours/open days: regular sanctuary tours are fun and informative, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions.

Through Galahad's Animal Sanctuary we aim to spread a message of hope and compassion. We rescue, rehabilitate and rehome farm animals from various circumstances within the food system. We have also rescued camels, horses and donkeys. These animal ambassadors spread the message that they deserve our compassion and respect. Every year, millions of 'food' or 'production' animals in Australia are excluded from the protections of animal welfare legislation. They endure lives of abject misery in factory farms: barely able to move, they are subjected to acts of cruelty that would be illegal if done to a cat or dog. The stories of these animal ambassadors educate people on how the choices they make at each meal directly impact the lives of animals, our planet and ecosystem. They also represent the stories of the billions of animals that could not be saved.
Mission
Our purpose is to provide care and rehabilitation for orphaned, sick, injured, abused or abandoned animals and provide them a loving, forever home. Connect people with animals and nature and promote animal welfare and the humane treatment of animals to the community. Promote awareness to the link between animal agriculture, the sixth mass extinction and climate change.
Volunteers: volunteer form on the website, they accommodate for live in international volunteers as well as local regular volunteers, plus host working bee days.
Tours/open days: zoom tours, regular tours and B&B offerings.

We are working on turning this land into an oasis for the animals that we rescue, planting trees and building shelters little bit by little bit - as funds and time allow. We moved to the farm with the sole purpose of finding a place to set up a safe haven for farmed animals who have suffered abuse, neglect, or abandonment. We are a registered not-for-profit organisation, and currently provide sanctuary to over 200 rescue animals.
Mission
Our goal has been and remains firmly - to demonstrate to as many people as possible the need to treat every animal with kindness. We want the faces and stories of the animals here at sanctuary to spread far and wide, to give the animals a voice and a chance to live a life that is loved, and have the opportunity to live out their natural lives without fear or exploitation.
